Texas Holdem Strategy – What to do with Jack-10 Pocket Hand?
Imagine that you are playing online texas holdem and that you’re participating in a holdem tournament. It is the starting of the game and you are currently the chip leader, by virtue of some strong play. All the player are dealt with pocket hands and you are the first to place your bet. You come up with a Ten and a Jack that are unsuited. Should you place the big blind or choose to fold?
There are many holdem players around that consider a Jack-Ten texas holdem hand as a solid hand which is nothing more than a fallacy though. Mind you, this hand comes with a winning probability rate of some 9.4 percent and is the 50th strongest texas holdem hand out of a possible 169 texas holdem hands.
As you’re in the first position and you don’t have any clue as to what texas holdem hands your opponents at the table are dealt with, raising a bet would be completely ludicrous! The better in this case in my personal option would be to fold this hand. Keep in mind that it might cost you a huge loss if you choose to play with such a hand that doesn’t come with good enough winning odds. Therefore, be smart enough and fold if you get Jack-10 Pocket Hand!
